When six young adults volunteer for a three-month isolation study inside The Ouroboros, a high-tech underground shelter run by an AI named Ouro, they believe they’re helping advance science.
Then the world above ends.
Cut off from family, the surface, and most importantly the truth, they must survive on routine and each other. For two years, Ouro keeps them alive, dictating their every move. But when the system receives an update, the group discovers the unthinkable: the Genesis Collapse has occurred.
Now, they must face the reality that they are humanity’s last hope.
To reclaim the world, they’ll have to confront their deepest fears, learn to trust one another, and find the strength to face not only the terrifying ruins of their world, but the secrets that destroyed it.

Jordan Weir is the author of The Fallout Kids, a dystopian science fiction series exploring survival, control, and the fragile resilience of humanity in the face of collapse.
A graduate of Ithaca College with a degree in Creative Writing, Jordan also works in the film industry as an Assistant Director. His experience in the industry influences the cinematic pacing and immersive world-building found in his fiction.
He writes character-driven speculative stories that examine what happens when systems meant to protect us become something else entirely.
